Comradery, inspiration, ideas, encouragement, joy - those are words that express the power in gathering with other artists.

At a recent artist workshop we were all busy painting, and I took a moment to look around, capturing the intense creative movement and collaboration at full steam. The instructor, the lovely and talented Ellen Diamond, was making her rounds charismatically - making sure to comment, encourage and assist each one. There were mini-collaborations between the artists, and they were joyfully sharing their techniques, tools and tips.

When it was time to leave, I had that feeling of joy to have completed a creation in the presence of so much talent, and taking home a memory of that lovely day. They say there's strength in numbers - it is so true. This strength will take me through until the next meeting of the minds, thoughts and hearts of these talented souls.
